Does the battery just flash and die like on the cannon SD 400 or does it give you time and let you know it is low?

Once my low-battery indicator turned on, I got about 4 pictures before the camera shut down.

nope it just dies on you no warning! but after it turns off the first time i think you can turn it on long enough for one or two more pictures.
