Does anyone get blurred photos with T20?

Nearly half my photos are blurred. What is the best settings to have the camera on. I mainly take photos of my 8mth old baby. Lighting conditions aren't always great, but I thought thats what a point and click camera looked after. any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, battery life, I fully charge the battery, put it in the camera, maybe take a couple of photos, turn it off, turn it on the next day and I am able to take maybe one or two photos before i get the little message saying "Battery depleted". I dont think this is right??

Blurred more likely due to camera shake or shooting in less than acceptable lighting conditions. I always recommend shooting with a flash, even in daytime (it can really make your subject "pop" in the photo). Additionally, if you're not "prefocusing," chances are you are simply missing the shot and causing camera shake as you take the picture. Remember that point and shoot cameras have a slight shutter lag. Simply press down half way on the shutter to prefocus and lock it in. Then pan with the action to recompose. You may have to prefocus a few times before you're ready for the shot, but by making this habit, you'll reduce that shutter lag by as much as 80% and catch better shots, to boot.

As for presets, try the sports or "kids" mode.
