Can anyone clarify the LCD size & give me some advice

Some write ups say this has a 2.5 LCD on back while others say it is a 3.0 LCD. Which is it?? I'm looking for a quick shutter response, but keeping the cost in something under $300. My old canon was great, but didn't have the newer face image and stabilization - and it has become too slow in response time; and it had only 5 megapixels - so time to upgrade! I like the bigger 3.0 LCD I've seen on some cameras - like the SX110. I'd like something fast and with at least a 3.0 LCD. I'd like a decent zoom but not as important as the speed and the LCD size. Any help would be appreciated.

I've noticed that too, that different websites say a different LCD size. Even in the product details on this site, it first says 3 then later on says 2.5. But I went to the canon website and they say 3, so I'm gunna go with that. It also says the shutter speed is "15-1/1600 sec.; Long Shutter operates with noise reduction when manually set at 1.3-15 sec.", don't quite know what that means but there you go!

The SD880is has a 3.0" LCD w/o a viewfinder. The SD990is has a 2.5" LCD with a small viewfinder.
