Comparing the SD880 and the new SD960. Any ideas?

How does the SD880 rate with the new cameras that have been released in 2009? Specifically, I am interested in the SD960. Having a wide angle lense is important to me.

You get a slightly smaller viewing screen (2.8") and a slower continuous mode (.8 frames per sec compared to 1.4 fps) in the SD960. What you gain is slightly more MP on the exact same sensor...not really an improvement. You do get blink technology and HD video with the SD960, but are those two things worth it considering the other trade offs. I'm having a hard time recommending such a "minor upgrade" when it comes at a cost of several downgrades. Seems more like marketing the MP jump and the HD Video than actually improving the SD880 which is a great little camera given its size, features and wide angle. Look for better prices on the SD880 as it has been out a while and is now "older" though it is still a great performer and a very nice carry camera. My money is still on the SD880 over the newest bunch of 12.1 MP releases.
