can I print 4x6 photos with the canon 880 without distoring or cropping down the pic?

I have the Canon 880 and recently went into a Ritz Camera to print out some test shots. The lady working there told me that 4x6 isnt an ideal size to print from the Canon digital file. She let me know that 4x5 would not cut out any of the image and would be better. She also mentioned that 8x10 would result in some picture loss (cropped out areas) as well. Has anyone heard of this before?

There is an 'effective' pixel area. Although it has 10.3 MP, it's epa is 10.0 MP flat. So you will lose some of it. I'm not sure how she can say that 4x5 will give you everything. I'd go to another printer.
