First thing I would do is go to the Canon SD 890 IS site. In the upper right hand corner you'll see a button for "choose the right product." Then, click on "product comparison." A popup window will let you compare up to three cameras for features. This will give you a chance to compare them side by side to see the differences, and more importantly, the similarities. Aside from the 3" LCD that the A2100IS has, and it's ability to use AA bats, I'm not seeing much difference, actually.

Next, check out this resource. It takes pictures with each and you can compare them side by side.

But one thing. Don't get caught up in the "larger LCD screen is better" myth. Sure, you get a 1/2" larger screen, but you sacrifice battery power to run it. Power that's better used to take pictures.
