Trying to decide on the 780 or the 960. I need it for website photos of chocolates. I am getting out of time to work on my store website. Can u help

My area is limited to Best Buy - and the 780 is $249 and the 960 is $279. I have been to the store 3 times speaking with employees. One said go with the 780, the other the 960. I am totally confused, but desperately need a camera this week to work on chocolate photos for magazine ads and my website. I do not need a lot of bells and whistles - just need crisp, amazing photos with little error. If you can recommend another Canon, then fine, but where I live we have no stores, but Target, Best Buy and Sams. Thanks so much for your help.

I'd get the 780 and then spend the extra $30 on a light box for your candy. they're going to be pretty much similar with what you're using them for. it's the lighting that will make the difference.

They're going to be extremely similar being from the SD line. You can see the differences by going to either Canon product site. In the upper right hand corner you'll see a button for "choose the right product." Then, click on "product comparison." A popup window will let you compare up to three cameras for features. This will give you a chance to compare them side by side to see the differences, and more importantly, the similarities.

Next, check out this resource. It takes pictures with each and you can compare them side by side.
