sd970 or sx200??? Can't decide!!!!

Aside from the zoom differnce...what makes one better than the other...seems like 970 reviews are better...what about wide angle...? which shoots wider angle shots?

First thing I would do is go to the SD 970 IS Canon site. In the upper right hand corner you'll see a button for "choose the right product." Then, click on "product comparison." A popup window will let you compare up to three cameras for features. This will give you a chance to compare them side by side to see the differences, and more importantly, the similarities.

The SD970IS has a faster lens, but the SX200 has a wider angle and larger focal length. The SX200 can also shoot faster shutter speeds up to 1/3200 vs. half that for the SD970. The SX200 is also 2 oz. heavier. Aside from that, they're quite similar in features.

Next, check out this resource. It takes pictures with cameras and you can compare them side by side.

Finally, when trying to make a final call, it may just come down to what camera feels good in your hand. Go to a local camera store and check both out side by side, holding them, feeling their center of gravity, the balance. How it sits in your hand. That usually sells me one way or the other.
