(David - 12/27/08)The sd990 is my second elph. Even though my 700 is still going strong, I decided to upgrade to the 990. I carry it as a back up to my DSLR. Image quality is very good for a point and shoot. It is ideal for social occasions with it's convenient small size. The camera has very good low light capability and the 14.7 megapixel sensor permits great cropping possibilities.
