Kimboi is right, it has viewfinder, so the smaller LCD is what it has. But that isn't a bad thing. The downside of a larger LCD is that in ambient light it's harder to frame the shot and a larger LCD will drain the batteries much quicker. So a 3" LCD really isn't going to do you much good anyway.
