Out-door photos are not as clear as indoor with flash

Yes, its very strange. My indoor snaps with flash are of high quality with sharpness and clear detail without any noise (at 80 ISO). But I am still facing problem to shoot in out doors. This camera is shooting every thing perfect except faces of humanbeing. Snaps taken at out door are not of high quality even in full day light. Whenever I focas on a person, if sky is also in the fram the fact of person becomes dark and too much grainy. And if I focus on the person some how, and then want to take sky in frame, it becomes colorless like white instead of blue. In out door I am to take the photos in which every thing is clear like trees flower, sky, and also the person. But it seems not possible with this camera. One more thing, when sun light is slight low, and the picture on LCD look very clear and bright.. still this camera fires flash, resulting in background becoming dark. So please help me in taking good quality photos.

If the person's face is dark, that sounds like a "backlight" situation. This is where you're taking pictures and the sunlight comes directly into the lens, causing it to stop down. This makes the face look dark. If you're trying to get the sunlight in the background, then recommend you use a flash to illuminate the subject. And it can really make your subject "pop" even in daylight conditions.

As for the sky, that's an obvious over exposure, easily fixed by using one of your presets, and/or using the sunlight white balance setting. There's also probably a sunset setting as well. Try and move beyond over reliance of the automatic setting. It'll choose the best it can, but the presets will give you far better choices for bright, ambient lighting conditions.

Lastly, there's some great tips online - like here which gives tips on beach photography.

Really thanx for suggestion. Using flash in outdoor, helps in sharpness of the face of a human. I have used it and it really works. Previously I was of the view that why to use flash in full sun light. Now whenever I take photo in different contrast areas like full sunlight, clear blue sky and dark subject, just throw sufficient flash output and get great results.
