SX110,SX10 or ?

I'm reasearching for our first dig camera to purchase. I would like to have at least 10x optical zoom, use AA batt, removable memory card and a reasonable video if possible. Size and HD is not a main concern. I will be using it for general family use, outdoor activities like hiking and camping. At times I would like to leave my current camcorder behind and be able to carry just one camera while hiking.Which has a better picture and sound in video mode ? Which performs better in low light in still and video modes ? Which is more versatile with 32 and 64 bit operating systems or dose it matter ? I like the price of the SX110 but the SX10 has a 20x zoom and a veiw finder which the wife wants but is not a deal breaker. The SX10 would be bigger, weigh more and cost over a $100 more. I have also looked at the Olympus SP565UZ. Any other cameras out or soon to be to wait on ? Please note I do not have a camera store nearby to look at units. Just a Walmart.

Those are good choices. I'd pick the SX10IS if I had the choice, but the SP565UZ does perform quite well. I'd also look at the Lumix line. Panasonic is making some great cameras these days.

James thanks for the reply. Allthough it did not address my questions specifically I gave you the best answer points because it was the only reply. The Panasonics do seem to be good products but as far as I know they require a specific battery not the AA that I wanted. We had to buy a new computer hence the desire for a digital camera with the new abilities. We decided to downgrade one step on the new computer purchase to offset the price some for the SX10 over the SZ110. Felt we could upgrade the ram and such on the new computer later if needed. Can't add upgrades on a camera. We have had the SX10 about a week now. Its a great camera. The video function seems to perform fairly well so far and comparable to a old Sony 8mm Handycam we have. I can't remember what others have wrote but I can zoom in and out in video mode. The size is slightly larger than I was hoping for but given the fact that while hiking I was carrying a old minolta 35mm sightseer zoom and a Handycam my equipment has shrunk considerable. I have a Nikon 8008 and Nikor lenses I used to carry for more serious stuff so the SX10 is much smaller than that set up. As far as the low light it seems to be ok. I am going to set up the Sx10 and the 8008 and do a test. I do not seem to be having any problems with the 64 bit OS and the SX10.
