Alok if you want to take pictures of nature so both of them are useful;if you want to print your taken photos then you need more resolution,so G is better;but if you don't need much pixels then don't waste your sd memory.zoom is good if you want to take pictures of animals that you can't get near to them.G lcd is not good if you want to take your pictures easily,I mean sometimes you cant watch through the camera, you need SX movable lcd;afterall S5,SX10 and SX1 is better for nature I think;G10 is smaller than SX.SX1 video is HD,it's great if works. one more thing is the batteries;G10 has lithium one and SX has AA batteries;in nature there is no ready-to-work power but new AA batteries.if you got G10 finally, don't forget to purchase extra battery if you plan to go to nature.I think AA batteries may be down in hich mountains soon, lithium is better in high altitudes(I guess, check it).Good Luck

I think sx sits snugly into your palm as compared to g10. But g10 gives you the advantage of having raw photos, which is important if you want to post-process it (nowadays, who doesn't?). Best I would suggest is to go to the store, hold both cameras, and buy what you feel is the best

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, what do you want to shoot, me personally I would pick zoom over pixels any day unless raw is important to you, but like it was said above, hold the cameras and take some test shots.
