It'll take the current state of the art which is, IIRC, 16GB. It largely depends on if you're focusing on stills or video, but IMHO, you're better off with smaller cards that are faster so that just in case one corrupts, you can swap it out for a backup.

I've seen 32 gig but the cost isn't worth going up from 16. I have a 16.

Also, I agree with James. A four did me fine until I got more into video, and would do me fine. The only time where I ever needed anything more was my first wedding, I had over 1,000 pictures on it and some video.

Can you please tell me what IIRC stands for ? Is this significant or would any Ultra 16GB memory card do ? Thanks

Sorry about that. You caught me in Internet speak! IIRC means "if I recall correctly ..." And yes, any card will do, but just remember, the cheaper the card, the more likely it'll fail sooner, rather than later. Stick with major brands like SanDisk.

Thanks guys, now I'm confused because they have both an SDHC 16GB memory card and a SDSDHV Video HD card. Which one do I need ?
Also, is Kingston any good ? I have always had sandisk in the past for my previous cameras and had no problems so I'm a bit concerned about changing.

Agreed. The second is merely marketing. faster, sure, but no more reliable. And yeah, I like Kingston. But Sandisk is about the best these days.
