Canon's Astrophotography SLR to be Discontinued
The Canon 20Da, a specialized SLR fine-tuned for taking shots of the night sky, will be phased out soon.
From Canon - Apr 10, 2006
It's not easy to market a niche model with such a high price tag, but those enthusiastic about night-sky photography were always very happy with the 20Da. It's highly possible that a newer verson of this unique configuration will debut based on the all-new 30D SLR body, but as of right now, the 20Da's days are numbered. Get it while it lasts! DCHQ still has plenty of decent offers from reputable sources if you want one last shot at a remarkable celestial camera.
