Editors' Comments

[Read our full Casio Exilim EX-H10 review] The H10 is Casio's offering to the "fun zoom" market: a camera with a big zoom, easy enough for a novice to use but with enough advanced features to capture some nice, quality shots. This guy is actually a charm to use—the shots come out nice and crisp even at the full 10x zoom (thanks, no doubt, to the image stabilization). The 38 pre-set scene modes seem excessive, but work quite well. The vivid landscape filter is particularly fun as it churns out desktop-background-ready photos at the touch of a button. Most notably, the lithium-ion battery life is tremendous, lasting for up to 1000 shots. Overall, this is a cool little camera. We prefer the Panasonic ZS3, but if cost is an issue, feel confident choosing the H10.

Roundups featuring Casio Exilim EX-H10

  • Casio Exilim EX-H10 Review

There are bigger brand names than Casio in the digital camera marketplace, but the Exilim EX-H10 turned out to be a worthy competitor to well-known fun zoom models like the Panasonic ZS3 and Canon SX200. By Liam McCabe
  • Best Fun Zoom Cameras

"Fun zoom," isn't an official, industry-recognized term. It's just what we like to call the range of point-and-shoots with good picture quality, ease of use, portability, and big zooms. They're kind of like the Toyota Camry or Honda Accord of digital cameras--solid, mid-range products that are built to perform well, even if they aren't the most glamorous or luxurious out on the market. See how we rate four of them below.
