In "Auto" mode I get "Video" operation? How do I fix it?

It's like the dial has slipped, but all the other setting work properly.

Did you triple check all the settings and make sure you don't have it set to Video? I can't imagine why this would be happening otherwise. Try going into the camera's menus and restoring the Factory default settings, that will correct anything that might be set wrong that you're not aware of.
