cant take pic's or erase old ones says card error, write error, or read error

do i need a new card? where do i get one that i dont have to order online? or is there a reset? i cant do anything with the camera only look at the pictures! help thx

There should be a white toggle along the side of your memory card that you can toggle. This may fix your error. If not, the card may be bad. If you do not want to buy these cards online, you can find them at stores like Best Buy and Circuit City.
