a303 ! zoom error

Fuji A303, lenses stays open even at power off, zoom doesn't work and display show ! ZOOM ERROR, is there anyway of solving this prblem without sending the camera in for repair. If not is it worth repairing ?

This is a problem with Fujis it seems. It may require repair, but there are a few things you can try first.

Read this thread; it is about a different model but it offers some suggestions for how to fix this on your own.

My wife discovered a solution for our Fuji A303. She just left it on......After a few minutes it shut itself off (auto power off).... and closed up. she was able to do this more than once
