This camera does not have a real-time date-stamping feature, but it does support DPOF, which on DPOF-compatible printers will allow you to date-stamp prints automatically as they are printed. This is not a lot of use if you want jpegs with dates on them. There may be image processing software which will do this. For example, Irfan Skiljan's wonderful (freeware) Irfanview image manipulator will allow you to add today's date to an image, which would be useful if you just needed the date, but obviously no use if the time is important too.

Hi Matt,

Did you realize that digital cameras automatically include the date as well as other data such as the camera make and model, photo number, the exposure data, etc. as part of the digital file? Techies call it METAdata.

This is of course NOT the "date stamping" that used to come on a few models of film cameras---that actually burned the date into the negative with LEDs.
