no volume on movies

I can't seem to get volume on my movies and the manual only says you "may" not be able to record with sound. Any clues on that?

Have you tried playing the movies back on your PC and seeing if the sound picks up? Some cameras dno't have a speaker to hear the sound. Others, choose zoom capability over sound and others still just omit it completely.

Does anyone know specifically if the A610 has audio capabilities for it's movies?

No. No sound in the specs.
