Used to work fantastic, until one fine day .... *kaput*

This was a great point and shoot camera and served me well for the 2 years it was in my possession. Just a couple of days back, the screen would display purple streaks that would change to red when AF is on. Pictures captured appear all white. Fuji apparently released an advisory for this model, but strangely my serial number was not on their list of "faulty" units. It sure seemed darn faulty today. For the price I paid, I expected this to last me at least a couple of years longer. I'd definitely not touch another Fuji again even with a 10-foot pole.
