Need CCD for Fuji F700

I had bought a Fuji F700 digicam in Aug 05 and have been using it pretty extensively. 2 months back the display stopped working and the local camera repair guy told me that this is a common problem in Fuji F700 and the CCD needs to be replaced. But he wasnt able to get hold of the spare part locally.
Can I get this online anywhere?

It isn't likely. It is a fairly new camera. It is probably a part you would have to buy from Fuji, if you can even get it from them. I would just go buy a new camera. The a700 wasn't very expensive for what it is, or even another camera. But it is unlikely that you will be able to get this one repaired.

Check with Fuji as this could be a known fault of a CCD failure. They did mine for free at Fuji back in Aug 06 but it had to go back 3 times as each change caused another side effect. It's now fine.

They will repair FOC even if it is out of warranty. My mum now has a problem with exposure on flash shots so I am looking for the relevant page with the details. Will post another response when I find but you may want to try www.fujifilm.co.uk to get a contact number for their technical team. This is also the website for registering your camera for a repair and sending it in for assessment.

I have a fuji f7000. The screen (for veiwing pictures) suddenly became blurry and I can't view pictures. Can anyone suggest what the problem is. Many thanks.
