problems with usb driver

My usb cable is not being recognised I have to put memory card into my kodak and up load onto compu that way, i've removed and reinstalled using disc supplied with camera but still with no success, i even recieved new usb cable and it still gets rejected. i'm using windows xp

Could be spyware. Could be a defective USB cable. Could be your USB driver is defective. I'd go into your device manager and delete your USB ports. Then reboot. Windows will reacquire the ports. You may need your Windows install disc as well.

But there's a much easier way. Invest in a USB Memory card reader and and place your memory card into it. Then all you need to do is insert the SD card (your PC will recognize it as another drive), and then simply drag and drop wherever you want.
