yes if you have a tripod , very good lighting and plenty of time
the best low light high speed on the market today is the panasonic lumix lx3

Sorry, only received one answer and was not very helpful. Having good light and plenty of time is not an option when it comes to sports. Thanks for trying.

The S2000HD is very good with eliminating blurring. It has a high ISO which helps. Easiest way is to put it on sport mode and it'll take good blur free photos
