Seem to get a blue shower curtain on lcd when camera is in certain light conditions.

Is this blue shower curtain normal, doesnt seem to appear on the actual image, have loaded firmware update to try and sort this, no real difference even after the firmware upgrade , is this a normal problem? as my Kodak Z 1485 IS doesnt have this issue.

Would a polarising filter help this issue?

It's probably normal, just the sensor getting overloaded. As long as it doesn't show up on the pic, it's alright.

This may be a symptom of a failing LCD or CCD - although the CCD isn't likely since you said it doesn't affect the pictures. I'd talk to Fuji about it just to be sure, while your warranty is still in force. If you have to send it in for repair, you don't want to wait too long so that it's too late.
