A fine product, but not to be rushed.
( - 9/19/05)I bought this camera 18 months ago. So far it has produced fine results in nearly all conditions, focusing issues in low light conditions can be overcome by pressing the shutter button once to focus the subject and then pressing the shutter again, which produces good results. Some experimentation with and without the flash can achieve interesting results. Image sharpness and colour rendition are impressive for a camera at this price paid £180 in uk and was given loads of extras with it as standard. A 55mm Sky filter screwed on to the supplied adapter ring improves colour in high brightness outdoor photos.
I have three complaints with this camera however, first really annoying thing is that there is a delay between pressing the shutter button and the camera actually taking the shot, this results in one missing fast action shots, secondly, the camera sometimes doesn't switch on quickly, a couple of times I've missed a shot because I've turned the on switch to camera mode and it hasn't come on, I've then had to turn the switch to off and then on again. Lastly the zoom lens is a bit noisy in operation.
In conclusion apart from a few niggles that I mentioned this is a fine camera that delivers stunning colourfull images, whether you print pictures on to paper, view pics on your PC, or by connecting the camera directly into your TV.
