how do we get rid of lines in the outdoor images?

I am trying to get the yellow and red trees in pictures and once the image is taken I see lines.
This happens to all my pictures from outside but evening or darker places are great.

It could be a problem with your CCD or processor in taking bright reds and bright yellows. But trying switching the scene mode of the camera to a bright outdoor shot. Also try lowering the ISO if you can. The camera doesn't have a great CCD or picture quality, so this could be one if its faults and you may not be able to fix it.

First thing I would do is check with Fuji's website about a firmware update which may address any bugs or shortcomings in camera performance. Bringing your camera up to speed, as it were, will help to a point. But in the end you're talking about a 5 year old camera with only 3 megapixels. With alot of ambient, bright light bombarding that tiny CCD chip, it's bound to be washed out as the CCD is overwhelmed with information.

And you can get a camera that's twice as good for a very cheap price these days. I'd be considering upgrading.

Yeah, I would also recommend the upgrade. You could always use image editing software to fix the problems, but its a pain and usually not worth the time unless you plan on selling the image or printing it in large format for your own use.
