The Fuji FinePix S5000 offers a powerful 10X optical zoom that makes taking long-distance shots a snap. With a zoom that is the equivalent of a 37 - 370mm telephoto lens, the S5000 is among a handful of ultra-zoom camera on the market as of September, 2003. Though it lacks a removable lens, The S5000's SLR-styling and design give it a professional look and feel, and its compatibility with AA batteries means that backup power is available anywhere in the world.
