Sturdy workhorse!

I have had this S5000 nearly 3 years now, a record for me w/ digital cameras. Seems I was getting a new Olympus digicam every 6 mos or so—they just didn't hold up to the knocks and bumps of my everyday photography life. I worked in an animal shelter where I took pictures for our website; I still take kennel pictures at the school I attend + at the vet clinic where I now work, and considering all the rough-and-tumble animals I photograph, the S5000 is a sturdy, durable champ! I've gotten nothing but raves about the photos I've taken. My only complaints would be the long start-up time and some finicky lighting issues, but I will soon be buying another to replace it while I still can.
