Vicki,

You can find drivers and software for the Fujifilm S5000 at this link here. As for the USB cable, you can call Fuji directly here or shop on their site for them here.

I have lost my cable last year and found out that it's a standard USB 5-pins - no need to have a Fuji part for this - it costs about 5 euros (or dollars or whatever) in any electronics shop.

As to the software in fact you don't need any (as long as you don't shoot RAW, which is only 1MB on this camera and therefore not so useful...) - once the camera is plugged to the computer, just open the directory like you would with an external hard disk or an usb key, then drag and drop the pictures to a directory on your computer.

What about buying a standard memory card reader and just `whipping` out the memory card from the camera?

Most memory card readers now read 9 or 12 in 1 memory cards and i cannot think of one that does not read the xd card in the s5000. It will save your batteries too !
