Cropping and saving photos on the camera

In the review mode if I enlarge/crop photos can I save that view on the camera to later upload?

Sure. But my suggestion is that you save that kind of post work for the PC. Doing it in camera can only do one thing ... take up room that should be used for another picture you're taking next. What I recommend forphoto management is Picasa by Google. It's an awesome and free program and it does cropping pretty darn well. Certainly better than the limited choices a camera crop feature gives you.

I use the HP Photoshop editing tool which is great and easy, but I feel like I lose resolution when I want to crop real close. I thought maybe if I cropped on the camera the resolution would not be compromised. Does the Picasa editing tool crop so the resolution isn't lost?

Well, if you're cropping and keeping the same picture size, then the image also has to be enlarged. That causes the pixels to get larger and you will lose some sharpness. If there's a sharpen filter, give it a spin. As for if Picasa will do that, all photo editors will do that. The only way to avoid it is to crop out what you don't want and not alter the size of what's left. But then you have a smaller image.
