I'm really thinking about getting this camera, but for $50 more would it be worth getting a Canon s3 IS- which camera is better?

I dont want to spend a ton of money on a camera, but I also want to get a good one. I guess my issue is the Canon that much better, or does it just have features that really wont make a differance?

HSN is advertising this camera today only $249.00 (regular suggested retail .. don't know why they're calling it a special)??? But there are NO shipping costs, and you can make 5 flex pays of $49.99. Also, order includes all the accessories. Go onto HSN website and look at Today's Special. I'm thinking of ordering one, because if I don't like it, I just send it back ... Would like to know if anyone else has this and what they think of it.

I'm trying to get a review on the Fuji S700 because it is being sold on HSN today for $249 which is the price of the camera in retail stores but it includes camera case, 3 different software titles, all cable accessories and $100 Shutterfly offer for 16x20 print, photobook, 18 mo calendar and numerous prints in 5 x 7, etc. It sounds really good with the 10x optical zoom and change in shutter speed for movement shots or night shots and it features SD OR Xd card capability. Heck, just buying it, trying it and having the $100 free pics from Shutterfly sounds like a deal but I can't find reviews. My last digi was a Sony which is a great camera so I wanted to stick with Sony but this might be too good of a deal today.

I ordered the Fuju S700 from HSN that Tadicalp and Karma asked about. Been shopping for a LONG time for a digital camera-this is my first digital camera. I'll let you know how it works. HSN said it won't be delivered until Apr. 30.

I just went and bought one tonight from walmart and so far it is ok .i dont really care for the zoom adjuster its kind of in an awkward spot for me but other than that its pretty good and the pictures that i have taken so far are also great it has alot of settings that you can tweak to get the perfect picture. maybe you guys will disagree when you get yours, i just upgraded from a sony cybershot dsc p73 so this camera is a cadillac compared to that. just thought id try to help a bit

For the price this camera is a good deal. Most people will be happy with the image qualitiy. I used it for a couple of minutes, but wasnt thrilled with the focus. For this price you cant go wrong.

I heard Fuji is really good with low-light shots - how is the 700 in low light?

If you really want a good buy on this camera, go to Amazon.com. I just bought mine last Friday for $214.00, which included S/H, and a 2GB Kingston Memory card. I have a Canon 30D & 10D, as well as a Canon S2 IS, and was looking for an inexpensive alternative that was compact, but still had some of the features I wanted. I played with one at Circuit City and liked it, and at $214.00 I went for it. It was delivered today (fast for USPS), and I have been trying it in a combination of settings. I like the fact that I can put it in manual mode, and choose all of the settings. Also the ISO 1600 is a plus over the S2. There is also the option of putting it in IS mode (which is not like the Canon IS mode). The S700 will select the best ISO, shutter speed, and f stop settings to provide the best image without blur. I do a lot of indoor low light photography, so will have to see how all of this shakes out in the real world.

Bought this FinePix S700 from Newegg last week with free SD card at $210. It is a great little camera....macro for stamps ...... portraits of birds and squrrels on the veranda. It works for me.

hey MagnoliaBd i just took a picture in the total dark on the night shot setting and as far as im concerned it is great if i didnt know that i took it in the dark id say it was taken on a bright sunny day...so to answer your question about the low light shots i think it works great. and also i took a picture of the sun the other day and it was like the camera had its own pair of sunglasses it was awesome compared to my last camera which when i did the same thing all i saw was a white screen.

I just bought this camera after owning a Sony for 6 years. I love it and would buy it again. The picture quality is fantastic, it is easy to use, very quiet and fits in your hand nicely. It is not bulcky and easy to hold on to. If you want a camera that works like you paid $1000 for it, but did not, then I would strongly recomend the Fuji S700. I have only had it one day and I am extreemly impressed with camera.
