Best camera to buy!

I am in the market for a new camera but am very confused as to which one would suit me best. I think I want to stay around 7 mg. but I want something with a fast recovery time so I can catch the grandbabies as they smile. I have a kodak DS4530 that takes excellent pictures but is so slow. I have looked at the Fuji 700, The cannon SD 770 Is and the Kodak Z712 plus read reviews on many more. I take lots of pictures mainly of the kids and their activities. I want to choose the best camera for the money!! Thanks for your help.

For more than a year I own this camera. I have a little daughter, so, I know what you mean. I found this camera EXCELLENT for taking pictures like you want. It take less than a couple of seconds from turning it on and taking the first photo. It has an automatic mode that eases this task with an amizing intelligent flash feature that lets you to take well exposed picture.
In addition, it takes movies at VGA quality (@ 30 frames per second). It´s so excitng to see the movies of my daughter playing at the kinder, or making little performances (she´s accostumed to this...)
I work as an engineer. This job let me travel across my country (Argentina) and it´s neighbors (Chile, Brazil and Uriguay). As you can imagine, I always carry a camera for taking landscapes. But since I own this camera, amazing landscapes (such as snow, beach, mountain, etc) could be taken thanks to the extraordinary features of this camera to perform this tasks.
