problem focusing at 3-ft and nearer.

I just bought a S9500 and found problem in focusing between 3-in to 3-ft (approx) away from the subject. Already use macro mode and manual & auto focus still nothing. Am I missing something? Please help I'm not a pro just a beginner.

According to the camera specifications it should be able to focus properly in every mode if the distance is about 2ft. So please do the following test. Set the camera to a tripod or table so it wont move at all. Put an object 2 feet from the camera. Set the lens to the widest angle and auto focus mode. Use very good light. Now take 3 pictures: one in normal, one in macro and one in super macro mode. All the pictures should be sharp. If not then the camera may have a technical problem.

Focusing at 28mm-100mm (auto or manual) seems to be no problem (subject distance at 3-ft and nearer), but when the lens is at 135mm-300mm, the subject cannot be focus properly with that distance even using macro or super macro mode. Is this normal? Did you have same problem with your camera? Need help!
