I hate my camera and can't wait till I can upgrade
(Lynn Smith - 6/1/07)I bought my camera because my Olympus died over the holiday weekend. I needed to get another camera, because the very next weekend my children were going to the shore for their very first time.
After getting a 512 XD Card and charging my battery ALL night, we finally get to the ocean where I am able to take about 100 pictures before my battery dies.
When I get home to review those pictures, 1/2 of them turn out where they weren't blackened or fuzzy. I was furious and took my camera back to the store for return, they wouldn't and simply told me that I had it on the wrong setting. Fine, they "fixed" it.
For several months, heck why not say an entire year I've been putting up with these fuzzy photos, blackened photos—just trashy photos in general.
I went to my husbands graduation from Basic Training and not a SINGLE picture turned out from his graduation. I have nothing to show from him and his time in Basic Training. When I went back several weeks for his AIT Graduation, the same thing happened. I was and still am greatly annoyed at the quality of the photos.
Then when I wanted to get a second battery, because I do take 10x's more photos hoping to get at least 1/3 of good photos, I couldn't find my battery. I took the camera and the booklet all over to stores that sold camera supplies and no one had the battery in stock or knew if they had it. Finally one day, Best Buy had my battery. $50 dollars later, I had my second battery. It doesn't end there. I fully recharged it, took my kids to the beach the second time. Took 300 photos on my first battery, tried putting in my second battery and it was a shade too small and the camera wouldn't accept the battery. I had spent that much money on a battery that I was told to buy by their (Fuji) booklet and representative. So now I have a battery that doesn't work with my camera and Best Buy can't return it because I had opened it.
This camera has been a pain in my you know what and I can't wait until the day I have enough money saved up to get the camera that I REALLY want.
