Why my LCD is completely dark?

I hardly took 50 pictures from my Fuji FinePix V10 .Now the LCD is completely dark. I cannot see any objects. is this a malfunction of the camera? I can view the pictures that are already stored in the slot but I can't take any new pictures. I deleted some of the pictures but still i can't take any new ones.

Try pushing the button on the bottom right corner on the back of the camera (the one that says Disp/Back); I know this toggles what is shown on the LCD, and maybe you just have it turned off? You might also try, while the camera is in Picture-taking mode, pushing the button with the trash can and the sun on it; that brightens or darkens the LCD, and maybe it's just set to totally dark. I'm not sure if those would affect you being able to view already-taken photos or not, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks Brenda. I tried all the possible way but did not work. I believe it is due to defective product. Some times, just turning on the camera it works but after taking 2-3 pictures, LCD goes completely dark making me unable to see any objects(image). And you never know when it will come back to normal without pressing any button. The manufacturer has asked me to return the camera for check up.

Thanks for the update, Joshi. I hope it's a defect situation and you can get it replaced no cost. Good luck!
