Why does my camera keep breaking?!

Okay, this is the SECOND V10 I've went through. With the first one, all of the sudden it decided not to turn on. So I brought it to Radio Shack, and all they could tell me was "exchange it for a new one." Now, I did this, and waited FOUR MONTHS to get it returned, mind you, and ended up just getting a brand new camera. So I plugged it in today because I found that, for whatever reason, it wouldnt turn on. I figured it had just died. So I plug it in, and when I take it off the charger (Hours later, mind you,) once again, it DOESNT TURN ON. Im just about ready to turn it in, get my money back and just go by a cannon. Does anyone know what's going on?!

Judging from the number of complaints in the forums, such as this one for example, it would appear that V10 do have a problem of charging new batteries, if only Fuji would tell how to do it correctly.

Apart from buying a separate charger, the only suggestion that one can think of, though it sounds silly, is to make sure that the camera is not turned on during charging.

Probably buying a separate charger is the solution. If you want to try, this advertisement in eBay sells it for $9.99.

I'd take it back, frankly. You have much better things to do than deal with what is obviously a design fault. But with it's age, I'm not sure if getting your money back is an option. But you can certainly try. And, if you purchased it with a credit card, contact them and ask if they can get involved in helping you to return a defective electronics item. Additionally, if the camera's warranty is expired, you may have extended warranty time as a perk of the credit card you used. Ask them about that as well. Then, contact Fuji about an RMA return for a defective product. Tell them what you've told us and request a replacement unit that is COMPLETELY different in model.
