Takes a little getting used to . . .

( - 11/9/05)

Overall I've been satisfied. There is the low battery life and "no card" errors to deal with but a quick power-down and the errors usually rectify themselves.

The spot metering will give you unwanted exposure at times but once you learn a few imple tricks, you can take some great pics. I have taken pics at night, lightning, fireworks, balloon "glows" and amusement rides in motion . . . all very satisfactory. Daylight photos are no problem unless you shoot into a dark area, again, get used to the spot metering and your problems will go away.

Spot metering for me is an advantage of this little cam and I have had great fun with it taking some pics I could never have taken with some more advanced cameras.

The price was right, a major decision factor and the standard SD memory format is a bonus. I only wish replacement batteries were a little less expensive.

If we weren't in such a hurry and had a chance to purchase another model, we just may have done that.
