Well, as far as the overheating, this could be due to a poor design of the camera, of maybe a defect in the camera. If it excessively hot, then I would take it in to a repair shop to get the thermoregulator in the battery checked out. If its just warm, then its probably just due to a poorly manufactured from gateway, who really shouldn't have made a camera in the first place. As far as transferring the pictures to the computer, make sure that all of the camera drivers and software are properly installed. If they are and its still not working, try buying a card reader which is only $10-15, and just putting the card into this, and reading it directly through the computer.
