I'm assuming what you mean is that the flash is charging and you can't take pictures. Suggest you reset the camera (either in menu settings or simply remove the batteries for a half hour) and even turn off the flash. See if HP has a firmware update and install it. If these don't help, it may need servicing. And frankly, with the average cost of camera repair about $180, it'd probably be cheaper to just replace the camera. Rule of thumb on any electronics is that if it costs north of 50% to fix, you're better off getting a newer and more upgraded model for probably the same price.
