Problem formatting 2 GB SD

When I put the SD into the camera, I get a message that says the card requires formatting. I did format the card in my PC first. Will this camera not accept a 2 GB SD?

It should be compatible. Try using the camera menus to format the card in the camera rather than in your PC. The option to do so should be in one of the Setup menus.

ive tried formating my sd card in my kodak v610 camera and it wont format it at all. my camera says the following:
Memory card requires formatting,
so i press continue
then formating will delete every thing on memory card
and i press continue
and then it says read only memory card, remove write protection to capture or write to card and then goes back to .memory requires formatting..
what should i do??

I figured it out! I was having the same problem. I did some research, and found that there is a little lock switch on the card its self. Move it to the lock position, then back to the unlock position.
