repairable?

i had an 850 or whatever number it was. paid $499 for it. worked great for first year then can't remember what happened to it but after bitching to customer service they agreed to send me a refurbished 945. THANKS A LOT! well this one lasted a year or so. screen was all distorted and now it has froze all white. camera did take awesome piks when i used it. bought a canon rebel the other day so i was thinking of repairing the hp as a backup for ebay piks or less important projects but after searching for their repair site i came across the reviews here. hmmm well i guess its time to call it a loss after seeing they dont offer a repair service. i wonder why i bought an hp to begin with. they arent known for cameras so i guess its partly my stupidity for not going with a known manufacturer!
