Not the photo quality I prefer. Uses up batteries fast!!!

The photo quality is not crisp - especially indoors. It has that "aura" around the photos that I see often in digital cameras, and dislike. The batteries went out in 17 photos! I am disappointed in it. The price has dropped tremendously since Thanksgiving. Sign of poor sales for a reason?
