not what i was exspecting for my first camara

my boyfriend got me this camara as a present b/c i was always getting disposeable camara i have always been a shutter bug.. lol. Don't get me wrong this camara does take really good photos and video's but it is not worth the headache u will get from this camara.he thought that it would save us some money. Well it really hasn't at all. I am ready to get rid of this camara and get a new one. After charging my batteries and i put them in my camara, my camara is telling me that the battery juice is almost dead and the light flasheses red and the camara turn's off.
When i go to look at the pictures only the camara turn's itself on like i am going to take a picture then when i go to the menu to look at the pictures the light flashed red at me again and then the camara turn's off and i have to put in new batteries in order for the camara to turn back on.
