Another one that doesn't work....

(Jennifer - 1/18/09)

I cannot believe this!!!! My dad bought me the Kodak Easy Share model #Z1085 for Hanukah. After taking 18 pictures and one videa, it stopped working. The last time I was able to trun it on, it did some funky thing and the screen had vertical lines all over it. We took it back to Office Max on 01.13.09 (after having it less than 30 days) and the sales guy argued with us. He kept insisting that this camera had a "rechargable" battery and there should have been a "recharging" station with it. The battery that came with the camera was NOT a rechargable one. After 10 minutes of arguing, we finnaly convinced the stupid sals guy and he says, "Oh.....sorry.....you have an older model.....it must just be the battery...." He goes and grabs a pack of Duracel Ultra's and puts one in the camera, looks at me and says in a snotty "you're just some dumb chick" tone, "next time, you need to buy these batteries yourself..." I stated to him that I would gladly pay for those today. To which he replied, "No, this time their on us." I get the camera home and what do you know........it turns on fine but now the dial on top of the camera that allows you to switch modes doesn't move anymore!!!! My dad brings it back to Office Max and the sales lady tells him, "Oh, we've had lots of problems with this one....." and then sells him the C813 Kodak Easy Share instead. My dad brought the camera to my house this morning. I tried putting the batteries in and....you'll love this.....the batteries that came in the box don't even fit into the camera!!!!! Once you get them "in" you can't close the battery compartment door......how crazy is that???? Is that even possible????? I tried one of my Durecell Ultra's (CR-V3) that are suppossed to also be able to fit in the camera and they're too big! What is going on over at Kodak? They used to have such great high quality cameras and film. Has anyone else had the same problems with either model????
