Excellent camera!

(Jason F. - 9/6/06)

I'm shocked at the other reviews for this camera! Perhaps I was lucky, but I've had this camera for over two and a half years now and I've never had a problem. Works great, and takes really nice pictures. Never had a problem with battery life. (We use rechargables.) Super easy to use!

Keep in mind I'm no pro. I'm just an "average joe" who takes family pics and such.

I've taken about 2500 photos with it since I bought it. Prints come out clear and color is good. Taken quite a few short movie clips too (1-2 minutes each).

Movie quality is just "ok". Nothing to get excited about, but then this isn't a camcorder. The sound quality is fine but you can hear a light continual "thud, thud, thud" sound when you play it back. I think it's the motor running. For home movies, it's just fine. Anything else, the sound may not be suitable.

Unfortunately my wife dropped the camera on the floor and broke the battery door. It'll hold with tape, but it's annoying to keep taking off when we change the batteries. Kodak can't/won't repair it, but we had extended warranty so now they're giving us a new Kodak C533. Hope it's at least as good!
