What i wrong with my camera?

I got given a camera by my aunt, it's about 6 years old when it was working it took some pretty nice photographs, and I wondering is it worth getting repaired? Also how much would it cost? What it does is there are dozens of lines across the photos, see here for an example http://i38.tinypic.com/2h3dcn4.jpg.

Not really. It would cost more to fix than buying a new camera which would have more MP and better features. Time to get a new camera, Paul.
