image storage defaults to internal memory for no apparent reason. Why?

Memory card is always inserted with plenty of capacity.

Is it telling you that there is no memory left, or does it fill up the internal and then move on to the memory card? I have a similar Kodak and it will fill up the internal memory before moving on to the memory card... I have never bothered to figure out if I could change this, to be honest, so I just leave a few 'junk' photos on the internal memory and shoot solely with the card. But is it letting you access the card?

Thanks for your reply. No it does not allow me to access the card. I must change the default status through the "menu" (image storage )every time this happens. Joby 88
