Do you mean the battery light flashes? Is the camera turning on, or is it acting just like the battery is dead?

Check to make sure the batteries are compatible with the camera. This is easy to mess up. Also try wiping out the inside of the battery compartment with a Qtip to make sure it's clean enough for the batteries to connect as they should.

Get the battery pack and dock that recharges the battery while not in use.

I've had the exact same problem as the person with original question. Its happening right now. And its happened before. Brand new batteries aren't helping. Tomorrow morning it may decide to work.

Its time for a new camera.

Well the Kodak user cleaned the terminals with a swabby and alcohol and now have my camera working again.
